The article is devoted to an exceptional find from the port of Berenike\u2014a Roman fibula discovered in a context dating to the first half of the 1st century AD.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The discovery is of particular importance for studies on the mobility of people and objects in the Roman world, as well as for research into the role of ports on the Red Sea coast of Egypt in long-distance trade and intercultural contacts. The paper contributes new data to the discussion on the functioning of the so-called fringes of the Roman Empire and the extent of its influence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We warmly invite you to read the
